Have you ever wondered how to let go of difficult emotions? This emotion may be showing up again and again when you try to release it. Maybe you do not know where to start when it comes to releasing emotions, or have never tried to do this before.
These four steps have worked in helping me to let go of any emotion. If you would like to work on releasing some emotions, I recommend sitting in meditation to do this, or getting out some paper and a pen to write about the emotion using these steps. Let’s get started!

What I don’t want you to know about me is this: I’m not perfect.
I don’t want you to know that I want to control how others behave and feel when they are around me. I’ve wanted relationships to be perfect, for people to act in the way that I want them to. I want to control others at times, and I get frustrated if people did not act the way I wanted them to.
I want to control other’s reactions. I want to control what they do with their time. I want to control their feelings… I want them to make me feel a certain way at times.
I wanted to control perfection.
Life is not about staying in the vibration of love all the time. It’s about learning to come back to love. No one is perfect. We’re all perfectly imperfect. This week was a bit challenging emotionally for me. I wasn’t always in the vibration of love. I wasn’t always seeing the best in others. But the lesson for me at this time was to come back to myself. Release all expectations of what I’m “supposed to be doing” and simply step into being.
