Moving with the Breath

I still see myself as a beginner at some things when it comes to my yoga practice.

I started to practice yoga a little differently than I usually do this week.

It’s been just over a year since I have completed my teacher training. During my regular personal yoga practice, I’ve discovered that my focus is on what poses I should do.

What pose comes after this one? What is my apex pose going to be? What poses am I going to do before Savasana? For this practice, I decided to move my focus from what pose I’m going to do, and instead I decided to focus on my breath. Continue reading “Moving with the Breath”

Figuring out yoga is like figuring out a new world, a new way of being for your mind, body, and spirit. I have created these affirmations to guide your mindset as you begin your yoga journey. Namaste!

I am inspired to do yoga

What matters in yoga is how I feel, not how I look

I am worthy of my yoga practice, even if I cannot do every pose fully.

Yoga is continually transforming my mind, body, and spirit.

I choose to practice yoga because I love myself.

Yoga Nidra

Hello Everyone!

I have finally created a Yoga Nidra! I personally use the Yoga Nidra technique when I’m exhausted, when I can’t fall asleep, and when I just want to relax when I feel restless. It works like a charm, every time!

Yoga Nidra is a type of meditation that allows a sort of “waking sleep” to take place. It is useful to practice if you have a hard time falling asleep, or if you are trying to reprogram and change yourself into different ways of being.

The music is attuned to 432hz, which is known to connect the right and left hemispheres of the brain, leading you to connection and receiving intuition into some aspect of your life.

I hope you enjoy trying out this meditation!

I couldn’t believe I couldn’t even get through my presentation without having a hard time. I was never good at speaking in front of people, and I was living in my fear with everyone watching me– Crying in front of a group of people. Continue reading “Emotional Healing Through Yoga”

Pranayama

When did you last take a nice, full breath?

One of the fastest ways to shift your energy state is by using the breath. Breathing more fully, deeply, and consciously brings much benefit into our lives. The word pranayama alludes to breathwork– breathing using certain patterns and techniques to help the prana to flow through the body. Using the breath helps us to connect our ethereal body to our physical body. The breath itself invites in prana– the vital life force energy.

Breathe in love, Exhale negativity
